3/13/2012 2:39:02 PM http://www.martelelectronics.com/1277.html I bought this microphone and it works great. I used it for a few weeks and decided to get rid of the laptop I was using it with. I don't need an external mic for my new laptop. It's plug-and-play and still in its original box. If you're interested, make an offer. Trckkpony@aol.com |

I am on a Diamante and rarely, if ever, use a laptop anymore. The mic that came with the writer is battery powered and I would like to get a mic that is not. Since I don't use a laptop, I'm wondering if there is a mic on the market that I can plug into the USB port of my writer and it would be powered from there (no more battery to worry about). So I was looking on the Martel website and found the mic you're speaking of and am wondering if it works that way. Can you answer that for me? |

| Laura Klingenberg Fowler Even though you say you don`t need an external mic with your new laptop, it`s better to use one. I don`t need one either, but when I don`t use my external mic, the quality is very poor and harder to hear because it picks up too much of the computer noise. Also, I`ve always used a Radio Shack mic that costs less than $10 and works great. Replaced it once in 10 years. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 | ||
| Audree Burg totally disagree. I have been using an expensive, approx. $125 microphone for years. Got a new laptop that had an internal mic. I tried it, and absolutely love it. 100 times better than the external. In addition, absolutely no static. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 | ||
