Jaime is right. You need to make friends with that steno machine and have it out and ready to write on at a moment's notice. Write when you are watching television. Court TV has actual trials, and that will be a wonderful source once you are in the higher speed levels. Don't think about that now. Just practice your theory. The more you practice, the faster you will get through it. |

| Jaime Thompson Good luck to you! I live in Huntington and work as a court reporter, but did not attend the Junior College. Good luck to you, and message me if I can help you in any way! Practice, practice! Friday, June 03, 2011 | ||
| Shannon Hostash Learn your theory and learn it well. And practice, practice, practice! I will also be glad to mentor you as well. I am currently living in New York, but did all my schooling in California! Don`t be nervous ever and try to get a handle on it as soon as possible. Friday, June 03, 2011 | ||
| Susan Falzarano-Crivello I agree with Jaime and Shannon ...practice, practice... and learn your software as early as possible. The school I went to here on Long Island taught you about 1% of what you need to know about your software. Thursday, June 09, 2011 | ||
