Asked by LoriByrdBuckner {118} http://htt;://www.bucknerreporting.com 3/30/2011 8:08:38 AM I have a niece who will be attending court reporting school and it's been DIFFICULT to find an on-campus school. I would like to recommend one to her with (1) the best teachers, (2) decent housing solutions, (3) a great realtime theory ... and about a dozen more things. Please tell me if you LOVED your school ... and WHY! |

Is there a particular area that you are looking in? And in regards to housing situation, I'm pretty sure there aren't any schools that will have on-site housing so if you're referring to that, she would have to pick an off-campus housing area somewhere in the area. |

My niece wants to end up on the east coast (DC, VA-ish) - it would be nice but not necessary to have an Associates degree. - LoriByrdBuckner 4/4/2011 11:41:41 AM | FlagGreen River in WA state has on-site housing. I would go to Alfred State in Alfred N.Y. It is a regular college, but they have court reporting and she could live on campus. That being said....it is ALFRED, NY., so it is in the middle of nowhere and there won't be much for her to do because it snows all the time, but then again, that might keep her out of trouble! I take Alfred State's online program and I love it, if I was a younger college student *AHEM* I would probably go there.
Good luck! |

I went to Amarillo Junior College in Amarillo, TX and loved it. No on-site housing, but lots of cheap apartments when I was there, and lots of places to work part time. Also in the middle of nowhere, but you won't stay out of trouble. Too much night life in Texas! |

I attend Green River Community College on line, but have visited their campus. They do have housing and do have a very challenging program. And it is located in beautiful Auburn, WA. Good luck in your search! |

I would highly recommend Anoka City College in the outskirts of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Excellent theory, teaching staff, etc. Jennifer Sati is the director and Jim Woitalla is one of the part time teachers. They start their program with students on computer in realtime from day 1 lesson 1. GREAT theory. Anita |

AIB College of Business in Des Moines, Iowa, offers on-campus housing with its Court Reporting & Captioning program. Visit us as www.aib.edu for more information. In the interest of full disclosure, I work at AIB in the CR&C department. I dictate testimony with the instructors for practice and tests. -Rod Brown |
