What are the most popular laptops?

I'm in the process of buying a new laptop and was wondering if there are any favorites out there that reporters use.  Good sound quality is a must for audiosync.  My Dell has lasted almost 8 years without any problems but I'd love to upgrade.    Thanks!

 I had a Dell forever also.  Went with a Mac this time.  Don't do an Acer, they are crap!  Tried that before the Mac.  I would have done a Dell again if I didn't do the Mac.

Definitely go with the Dell.  It's tried and true.  Never, ever get Toshiba.  Big history of overheating.
