I swear by Toshiba laptops! I've used nothing but Toshiba since I bought my first CAT software in 1989. That's 22 years ago, and I'm only on my third laptop, which I just purchased last fall! It's a Satellite A665 with an Intel Core i3 processor and Windows 7. After updating a couple of drivers and purchasing a Keyspan cable for my realtime, everything's running perfectly with my Case Catalyst Version 10.07. |

How is your audio quality? - Janiece 2/21/2011 12:09:34 PM | FlagIt's quite good. My Toshiba has Dolby Advanced Audio and an internal microphone, and the few times I've used the audio, the sound quality equals or exceeds that of the external microphone I used with my previous laptop. - catlover 2/21/2011 7:05:26 PM | Flag |

Although the laptop I currently use has an internal mic, I've previously used external mics purchased from Radio Shack for about $25 and they've worked great. |

Hello ... All good brands mentioned in the Facebook section ... but I would recommend going with a MacBook Pro. Yes, they're a bit more expensive, but Apple hardware tends to last longer than most brands of PCs. It might serve you well to do a Google search for the various PC brands sold out there and their reliability, like so: "HP" "laptop" "reliability" Naturally, you would switch out "HP" with the various other brands you're considering. Good luck you you .... --gdw |

I have both Dell and HP and they work quite well. I know a lot of people that have Toshiba and nothing but complaints. |
