2/12/2011 7:24:12 PM I've been out of school a little over a year, and I want to take the RPR. However, I know if I were to take it today, I wouldn't pass. I don't feel I'm fast enough. So I would like to build my speed up by practicing at home. What should I practice? I was planning to practice some old RPR tapes that I have. Is there anything else that would make a good practice tool? And about how often should I practice? |

Hi, there. I, too, am preparing for the RPR independently. I have used Simplysteno.com. They have great lesson plans and challenging dictation. I believe they still include academic lessons also to prepare you for the written knowledge portion of the RPR. Through them, I was able the pass the written knowledge, 180 LIT and 200 JC. I'm still trying to pass my 225. I think it's about $100 - $150 a month. Right now, I'm basically practicing 20-40 wpm above 225. I test myself daily at 240 and 225. Good Luck! |
