I have a friend who is intrested in becoming a court reporter. Do you have any information on schools in the Riverside, CA area?

There are several court reporting schools in Southern California.  None, however, that I'm aware of specifically in Riverside.  For proximity, your best bet is probably to check out Sage College  http://www.sagecollege.edu/ which maintains a campus in Moreno Valley -- approximately 13 miles away.

Good luck!

Public schools are:

Tri-Community (Covina)
Downey Adult School
Cerritos College
Cypress College

I think of all of them as being east, but that's probably because I live west of the 405.

I finished out at Downey and really liked it.

Sage College, in Moreno Valley, is a private school with a good pass rate. It is a tad expensive, but I found that keeps you motivated to get out and pass that CSR.
I know the people at Sage College and I would highly recommend their program. Don't know the financial aspect of it, though.    -    Todd Olivas 5/14/2010 10:33:21 PM | Flag

Late to the party, but www.southcoastcollege.com has court reporting and some other legal studies courses available.
