11/8/2010 3:02:00 PM Hello everyone! Thanks for reading my question! I'm a student working on my last 200 (almost there!), and I am working on my internship. I have to do 40 depo hours, and I would like to intern with a couple firms in Sacramento in the hopes that I will find the firm I would like to work with when I graduate. I was hoping anyone who works in the Sacramento area may be able to recommend some good agencies. Thanks in advance! |

![]() | Hi, Candyce. This may not help you directly, but take a look at this article when you have the chance. It tells you, among other things, how to find internships, and how to behave during your internship. While the author is selling a book, between the article and the excerpts from the book, you should be pretty well prepared for your internship whether you have the book or not (but buy the book, or the author will hunt me down and beat me like a drum!). Good luck to you ... and don't forget to dress appropriately. --gdw |

Thanks gdw! I like that the article has a little check list of questions/things you should learn while interning. I'll be passing this along to my classmates! - Candyce Bradbury 11/12/2010 5:08:44 PM | FlagAnd, btw, I LOVE your site! It's been extremely helpful to me as I've gone through school. Thanks so much! - Candyce Bradbury 11/12/2010 6:11:30 PM | FlagHi, Candyce. Glad you liked the article, and your time on ol' Cheap and Sleazy! For your classmates that might have a bit more time than you do, send them here: http://tinyurl.com/yedghfv This is a workbook on the internship process from the folks at CCR. Looks like a must-have book ... and I *hear* there's a similar book for the captioning/CART side of the field as well! - gdwarner 11/13/2010 1:26:54 AM | FlagOh, what a great book! I will definitely pass that link along! - Candyce Bradbury 11/22/2010 4:36:48 PM | Flag |
