Court reporters can always look for jobs with attorneys' offices if they don't want to spend their time in the courtroom. They can also look into freelance careers that help to add some variety into the workweek or go into business for themselves and launch their own agencies. |

Are you thinking about moving up in your career and additional opportunities within the immediate field or are you looking to build on what you've accomplished and move into a slightly different field? If it's the latter, you'll find that after being a court reporter - especially if you're familiar with working in real time and in computerized courtrooms - there are jobs that require your skill set in news rooms and with TV and movie studios focused on providing captions for viewers who are hard of hearing. |

The first place I ever really noticed a court reporter was in my past life doing pro sports PR. I had to sit next to them and help them with terms and names at the NBA Finals. Check it out! http://www.asapsports.com/ |
