8/27/2010 4:01:53 PM Hello,
Does anyone know how to get the dictionary from the Stentura 8000 onto a Floppy disk? A reporter friend of mine lost her dictionary and wanted to know if there was a way to get it from the machine to the disk.
And now for my Public Service Anouncement. Remember ladies and gents, always backup, backup, backup. You can never have too many backups of backups. |

Hello .... In looking through the Stenograph Help Desk files, it looks like the 8000 can transfer data from the floppy via a cable (the Help desk was not as forthcoming as I would have preferred), but chances are good that that mysterious cable transfer process is the way to go. I'm thinking it might not be such a bad idea to go through my dictionaries and back them all up again! --gdw |

Thanks. - MsStenofairy 9/12/2010 1:56:08 PM | FlagIn that case, I highly recommend calling one of the steno repair-folk out there. They should be able to walk your friend through what she needs to do ... and if there's a file she needs to make it work, they'll probably have it, and they'll either be able to tell her where to download it, or they will send it to her.
