Working in New Jersey

Does anyone know if you need to be certified to freelance in New Jersey? I've been freelancing in NY for 21 years. I got a job right out of school and have been lucky enough to be busy since then.  I'm thinking of sticking closer to home now that I live in NJ but don't really know if I can get something here if I'm not certified. I'm considering the tests but I want to see what is out there. Thanks!

Yes, Barb, I do believe you have to pass the New Jersey CSR exam.

I don't think that requirement has changed.

You do need to be certified, but I think they count your RPR as equivalent to the NJ CSR.  You probably have to join the NJ CSRA, but there was a change made just a few years ago.  I would check out the NJ CSRA website to be sure.
