Wouldn't it be great if everyone in a deposition or hearing spoke and let you know where to use a comma, or a semi-colon, or a period? Knowing grammar and being able to discern how it's used in speech is definitely important for a court reporter - almost as much as it's important for a writer. |

To be a court reporter, it's definitely important to make sure that you know proper punctuation. It provides greater clarity to the transcripts and helps to better ensure that the records are accurate. |
