Taking the time to talk with students who are planning to become court reporters is a great way to not only make sure that they know what the career is really like, but also to be reminded about how much excitement you had for the field when you were first getting started. It's also a good chance to learn more about what students are learning now - which, if you're trying to figure out which continuing education classes to look into, can help you see what courses you may want to focus on first. |

Talking to students who are planning to become court reporters is a great way to make connections with those who are entering the field - and to make sure that they have a better sense of what they are signing on for. The more that you're enthusiastic about what you're doing as a court reporter, the more that you'll find that talking with students helps to get them more excited about their future careers - and that's something that's good for all of us really because it means that future court reporters will be passionate about what they're doing. |
